So the romance between a girl and her shoes is not a new story.
But despite my obsession with looking at beautiful shoes, my budget does not normally stretch to allow me to own the shoes I most covet.
Enter the fabulous website StylingYou and a very generous giveaway from Habbot Studios…
When I got notice I’d won one of the two pairs of gorgeous handmade Italian leather shoes I whooped so loudly that I frightened the people working in the office next door! NEVER have I owned a pair of shoes as beautiful, as comfortable or as well-made.
Annie at Habbot Studios was not only generous in her giveaway, but epitomizes everything that is good customer service: friendly, quick and that extra special personal touch.
When my shoes arrived, I immediately slipped them on…and again said thanks for my incredible luck.
If you are looking for a pair of shoes that don’t just look good, but will last and last, your money would be well-spent at Habbot Studios. You’ll thank me…
Oh, and that’s me attempting colour-blocking with my new shoes… I happened to wear this outfit to watch the France v Wales match, so I guess I was barracking for France!

Gorgeous shoes – even the packaging is chic & luxe. Enjoy.
Thanks, Jennifer! Yes, the box is beautiful, handstamped as well…the first shoebox I’ve decided to keep in ages (all other shoes go in clear plastic boxes)!
My pleasure, Anj – I’m so pleased they have gone to a good home. I have the exact same pair and they are such a delight to wear. Enjoy!
With gals it’s always purses or shoes. Personally, I gravitate to the purses and my sis gravitates to the shoes. Of course, I love shoes too, but not as passionately. Gorgeous and I’m jealous because I never win anything. Congrats!!.
Too true, PeaBea! I like my handbags as well, but find myself gravitating a little more frequently toward shoes :) My advice is to enter every competition you find…I guarantee you’ll start winning (I forget I enter so it’s often a nice surprise!) xo
Wow Anj – what a great post. Such a thrill to read about new happy habbot owners – it really makes my day honestly! (And mine is a very jet-lagged one today in particuar having just arrived in Italy to work on the next habbot collection this morning). May I also say – your room is impressively tidy – if only my studio looked like that at the moment! x Annie.
Again, Annie, I can’t thank you enough for the shoes, the handwritten note and for supporting Nikki @ StylingYou so that I had the opportunity to win!! :) Look forward to seeing what designs you come up with after this trip to Italy!! And, btw, though tidy, I wish I could learn how to photoshop my bedroom out of my pics :P
Wow…those are gorgeous shoes, Anj. You lucky girl! I love the outfit you wore to the match too. How much fun. I will definitely check out the site.
Hi Annie! – they are gorgeous shoes! And the easiest pair of heels I’ve ever walked in! Totally worth checking out the site (and *accidentally* leaving the webpage open as a suggestion for Christmas gifts – LOL) xo
Oh they are just gorgeous Anj. I have a soft spot for shoes too – doesn’t every girl? Enjoy your shoes x
Thanks for commenting (and supporting my blogging effort), Jodi! I think any girl who doesn’t love shoes just hasn’t *fallen*…yet. Somehow I didn’t care as much until I got pregnant for the first time. After I faced not being able to wear cute clothes for a while, I realised I would NEVER be too big for gorgeous shoes. I’ve been hooked ever since ;)
LOVE the shoes… but you were rooting for the wrong team! ; )
Thanks, Jaime! And, in my defense, it was not intended… Besides, no one else at the sailing club I watch the match from were supporting France. So I was unintentionally out-of-place! LOL
Gorgeous shoes! How exciting to win a giveaway… and what a prize. :)
